Volunteer Requirements at St. Gabriel
Volunteer Paperwork
- Please contact the Parish Office to receive the necessary volunteer forms. Once completed, you may return your paperwork to the designated staff member or bring it directly to the Parish Office
- Background Screening: All volunteers working with children, youth, or vulnerable persons must successfully pass a background check conducted through the Archdiocese of Atlanta
- VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children Training: At the heart of the Safe Environment program is the mandatory VIRTUS: Protecting God’s Children training. This is a live, interactive class lasting approximately three hours, offered multiple times throughout the year at various locations within the Archdiocese, including weeknights and Saturdays
The training educates volunteers on recognizing, preventing, and responding to abuse, and helps build a culture of safety within our church community.
