Faith Formation - Pre-K through 5th Grade
Faith Formation for Primary Grades (Pre-K – 5th Grade)
At St. Gabriel, our Faith Formation program for primary grades creates a joyful and nurturing environment where young children are invited to encounter the love of Jesus and learn the foundations of our Catholic faith:
- Small class sizes allow for plenty of interaction, individual attention, and hands-on learning
- Each class has at least two dedicated, caring teachers who plan engaging weekly lessons and activities tailored to each grade’s curriculum
- Children learn through Scripture stories, crafts, music, prayer, and age-appropriate discussions that help them make their faith their own.
Classes for Pre-K through 5th grade meet on Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:15 am in the lower church. The halls are alive with laughter, creativity, and the sounds of children growing in faith together.
Sacramental Preparation Classes
For children preparing to receive First Reconciliation and First Holy Eucharist, St. Gabriel offers special Sacramental Preparation sessions:
- These classes provide age-appropriate catechesis and spiritual formation to help students (and their families) understand and celebrate these important milestones
- In addition to regular Sunday classes, students and parents participate in special workshops and retreat days designed to deepen understanding of God’s forgiveness and the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist
- Families are encouraged to take an active role in supporting their child’s faith journey
