How do I get to St. Gabriel?

Our Parish church is located at 152 Antioch Road, Fayetteville, Georgia, 30215

I’m not Catholic, is it okay for me to participate in communion?

We are truly glad you’re here with us at St. Gabriel, and we welcome you to join us for Mass. In the Catholic Church, the reception of the Eucharist is reserved for those who are baptized Catholics and properly prepared, as it is a profound sign of our unity in faith. However, you are most certainly invited to participate fully in every other part of the Mass - singing, praying, and reflecting alongside our community.

If you wish, when the time for Communion comes, you are welcome to remain seated or to come forward with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing instead. Many guests find this a meaningful way to share in the celebration while honoring our Catholic practice.

Please know that your presence is a blessing, and we are grateful to have you worship with us. If you have any questions or would like to learn more, we are here to support you.

I’m not Catholic, how do I know when to sit, stand and kneel?

There’s no need to be self-conscious about the postures and responses used during worship. Most visitors just follow the lead of the our parishioners. However, we do have missalettes located in each pew that provide you with the order of the mass, the postures, and the words to each prayer. If you don't see a missalette in your pew, ask an usher, and they will be happy to bring you one.

What should I wear?

We welcome you to join us for Mass! Your presence is a true blessing, and we want you to feel comfortable and at peace. As we gather to worship and honor God, we kindly ask that your attire be modest and respectful, reflecting the reverence of this sacred time. During the warmer months, many wear sandals, shorts, and a neat shirt, while others choose to dress more formally - both are welcome here. We simply ask that shorts be of a modest length and that all clothing be appropriate for the house of the Lord for prayer. Most importantly, we are grateful to have you with us and pray that you experience God’s peace throughout the Mass.

Where should I park?

We are pleased to offer ample parking for all Masses and parish activities. You will find convenient parking available in the lots in front of the church, on the right (south) side, and at the lower level in front of Beltran Hall. Kindly be respectful of spaces reserved for the Pastor, visiting clergy, and those with handicapped permits.

Where do my children go?

We love having children as part of our celebration and encourage families to participate fully in our Masses. If your little one becomes restless or needs a break during the Mass, please feel free to use our Cry Room, located at the back of the church. It’s a comfortable space where you and your child can take a moment, and you’ll still be able to follow along with the Mass.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are visiting our parish, please know there is no obligation to contribute during the offertory—you are welcome simply to let it pass by. For those who consider our parish their spiritual home, we invite you to prayerfully consider how you might support our parish community through regular giving. Your generous stewardship helps us sustain the ministries and services of our church. Contributions can be made by check or cash during Mass, or through convenient online giving options.
