Hospitality Ministries at St. Gabriel Catholic Church

Our Hospitality Ministries create a warm, inviting experience for all who come through our doors—whether longtime parishioners or first-time guests. Welcoming Team
The mission of the Welcoming Team is to greet each person with a smile and genuine hospitality as they arrive for weekend Mass. Team members serve as greeters, standing outside our church to open doors and offer a joyful welcome, while others greet people in the Narthex and help them feel at home. Volunteers provide helpful information—such as locations of restrooms, the cry room, and the elevator—so every guest feels comfortable and cared for:
- Time Commitment: 30 minutes before your chosen Mass
- Volunteers Needed: 4 - 6 per Mass
- Qualities: Friendly, gracious, and always ready to share a warm greeting
Parish Support Team
The Parish Support Team serves after each Mass, offering assistance and hospitality to visitors and parishioners. Members answer questions about our parish, provide information about faith formation or ministry opportunities, assist with registrations, and help with Mass intention requests. This team is a valuable resource for newcomers, helping them feel at ease and connected to our parish family:
- Time Commitment: 20–30 minutes after Mass
- Volunteers Needed: 1–2 per Mass
- Qualities: Welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to help!
